SUMMARY:Online support group - self identity\, self image
DESCRIPTION:The Leukaemia Foundation’s October support group is about self identity and self image.\nSelf-identity is a combination of our personality traits\, abilities\, physical attributes\, interests\, hobbies\, and social roles. The many emotional and physical changes that can come along with a blood cancer diagnosis and treatment can change the way we perceive ourselves.\nJoin an experienced Leukaemia Foundation facilitator and fellow patients in a discussion about how a blood cancer diagnosis has impacted our self-identity\, and talk through some ways that we can accept these changes and communicate them to our loved ones. \nPlease note that the time is listed in AEDT. \nYou can register HERE. \nShare to:

SUMMARY:Evening blood cancer support group
DESCRIPTION:These blood cancer support groups are facilitated by the Leukaemia Foundation’s experienced blood cancer support coordinators. They are small\, confidential groups\, and interactive in nature with discussion focusing on the lived experience of participants: essentially\, sharing what it’s really like to live with blood cancer with others who can relate. Some participants have said ‘it helps them feel less alone’. \nOne of the greatest concerns for people living with blood cancer is the worry of blood cancer returning or in the case of MPN patients\, of the MPN progressing. \nSubsequent feelings of fear\, uncertainty and anxiety are very common. For some\, these feelings are mild\, for others they are significant and may impact on your quality of life.\nLiving with these feelings can be really challenging.\nIn this group\, we will have the opportunity to explore these feelings in a safe and supportive space\, as well as discuss strategies to help manage living with this uncertainty. \nAs places are limited.  You will need to register HERE. \n  \nShare to:
