The MPN AA thanks Leukaemia and Blood Cancer New Zealand’s Matthew Eby and haematologist Dr James Liang for permission to post this May 2020 video presentation.
It provides an overview of MPNs including the most recent studies on interferon vs hydrea as therapy options.

Dr Cecily Forsyth spoke on the “Optimal Management of MPN in Australia”, about the latest research on how MPN patients should be managed, but acknowledging the shades of grey that exist, and the need to treat each patient as an individual.
This video was recorded at MPN AA and the Leukaemia Foundation’s MPN patient information event in Sydney, 23 February 2019, attended by 60 patients and family members.

Dr Steven Lane is a clinical haematologist in private practice and at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH). He is also a clinical researcher with a focus on myeloid blood cancers including acute myeloid leukaemia, myelodysplasia and the myeloproliferative neoplasms.
