The 12th Joyce Niblack Memorial Conference on MPNs is being held on 20 February this year. It will feature many of the world’s leading MPN experts and researchers.
The conference website advises us that ‘the conference brings together medical experts in the field with MPN patients and their care givers/families, to learn more about the many issues that are faced by those diagnosed with one of these disorders. Additionally, the conference will cover topics such as genetics, treatments, drug trials, interpreting blood counts, which questions to address with our doctor, coping emotionally with a chronic disease, COVID-19 in MPNs, and other issues that can arise because of such a diagnosis.’
This conference is available to us as patients for free although a donation is always welcome. To attend, you simply need to register. Unfortunately as the conference is convened by our American colleagues, the times aren’t ideal for us here in Australia. It commences at 2am Australian Eastern Daylight Saving time on 20 February and runs through to 10am our time. However it will be an informative conference as the MPN field has many promising developments.
