The Leukaemia Foundation advises ‘Whether you were diagnosed 1 month, 1 year or many years ago, a blood cancer diagnosis can have immediate and long-lasting effects. Join us to explore relevant topics with a group of other young people between the age of 20 – 49 who just ‘get it’.  The aim of the 5 session group is to share with others experiencing similar challenges and to learn from each other in a safe, non-judgmental, supportive space.

Topics Covered

  1. Getting to know you: Meeting each other & sharing experiences
  2. Communication & relationships: Talking about blood cancer with others
  3. Life transitions after diagnosis: Transitions to work / study / other roles
  4. Sensitive conversations:? On sexuality / intimacy / fertility & taboo topics
  5. Where to from here: How we see ourselves / long term support
