The National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) in the US has an expert panel which regularly updates its clinical and patient guidelines for Myeloproliferative Neoplasms (MPNs) – almost every year.
The 2026 physician guidelines were released earlier this year and the 2026 patient guidelines for MPNs have recently been released and are free to access.

IMPORTANT.  Please note that:

  • these are US patient guidelines and Australian practices may vary
  • not all the medications listed in these US guidelines for myelofibrosis are available in Australia
  • ropeginterferon alfa 2b (Besremi) is not available in Australia.
However another form of pegylated interferon (peginterferon alfa 2a Pegasys) is available.
