In mid October 2026, the American Society of Hematology (ASH) issued new recommendations to improve care of patients with myelofibrosis.
Please note that these are updated American guidelines and Australian practices may vary, due to availability of drugs and so on.

ASH’s released guidelines cover the management of myelofibrosis. They  recommend expanded molecular testing, early transplant referral, appropriate use of JAK inhibitors and aspirin therapy in select patients.

Here is the press release from ASH which sets out the main points of change.

And here are the full new guidelines, titled American Society of Hematology 2026 Guidelines for the Management of Myelofibrosis in Adults. They are free to access via a PDF on that linked page.
