The MPN AA has been asked to share information about a Peter MacCallum research project: the ‘Work & Cancer Project’.
The researchers are currently seeking participants for a short survey and online focus group.
The project is about hearing and understanding the lived experience of cancer patients and how they navigate work. It is with a view to how best to support people to participate in work following a cancer diagnosis.
The researchers felt this is particularly relevant to MPN patients given that a common diagnosis for MPN is age 50 years and over, which researchers believe means we face our own unique set of challenges for maintaining and returning to employment.
